Most people hate it with a vengance, but me, I do actually get pleasure from cleaning. I like to see things shine and gleam. Don't get me wrong here, I'm no 'Monica' but I don't like mess.
So a couple of hours ago, I went to clean the bathroom. I cleaned it, rinsed everything off, and it was looking all lovely. Went to head downstairs to see Matt and low and behold, there was water coming through the ceiling!! :O
Naturally, I freaked and went running to Matt shouting "Quick!" He came to look at what I was shouting about and thought we had a burst pipe. When I explained I had just drenched the bathroom he told me not to worry, that the water had just leaked down crack in the bath sealant (we are looking into getting a brand new bathroom suite right now - thank god!).
God, I REALLY thought that I had done enough damage to have the bath falling through the ceiling or something.
Here I sit, as usual, working away, when I realise;
Morning TV is crap!
It really is. I find myself being 'entertained' (and I use the word 'entertained' losely) for an hour by "Trisha" and other peoples problems (which, if I am honest, can be amusing) but now and then you do feel quite sorry for some of these people, even though most of them are junkies, alcoholics, trailer trash and just plain slappers. (I know, tut tut me, but it's true!)
Then I force myself to sit through 60 Minute Makeover with that horrible scouser (I have nothing against Liverpudlians, just her) Claire Sweeney. I don't know why I can't stand her, I just can't. The programme is just so boring. The end result is always quite good but just watching them bores me to death.
You may ask why I bother switching the TV on and the answer is, I don't know. I guess I just like to have more to look at than this screen occassionally and more to listen to than my own typing, Matts typing and Barney huffing and puffing because we are disturbing him.
Bring back Kilroy, Richard & Judy, City Hospital and all the other stuff I used to watch when I pulled sickies in my last job! (I can admit that now) :) I miss them all.
I am now in the same league as most of the IPS Team... I have a blog.
I don't know why I have one. I guess I just didn't want to feel left out. Maybe I just wanted to become REALLY sad and sit and type useless nonsense throughout the day. (That sounds more like me - hehe). Not that I have time, mind you. What with the amount of tickets that we receive on a daily basis, my time is taken up replying to them and trying (hopefully succeeding) to keep our customers jolly!
Nonetheless, I don't want this to be a boring blog all about IPS. IPS is PART of my life, (it's a given that it is a big part) but it's not ALL of it.
The rest of my life has been quite hectic recently.
My sister has just moved house, and when you have a nephew that has everything, trust me when I say, there is a LOT of moving to do! He has so many boxes of toys. I would say that about 25% of what we moved was his. Not bad for a 4 year old, eh? Not just that, they are now awaiting the arrival of number 2, due in December, so I can imagine that, come December 25th, once again, their house (and probably everyone else's that they visit) will look like Santa's Grotto. I have to admit though, I love it! I love buying kids stuff and I love the look on my nephews face when he gets something new. Especially 'Thomas The Tank Engine' stuff (All us adults now hate Thomas but hey! It keeps the little one happy!)
With the move now over, it's time to chill. There's been a few birthdays recently too, (family/friends) including mine. I was 28 (yes, 28!) on August 10th. Not an age I am happy about, but it could be worse, I could actually be 30 by now. (Heaven forbid!) I'm not someone who is overly pleased about getting older. I don't know why, I never have been. Maybe there is some underlying reason that I just don't realise yet? Who knows.
Anyway, this isn't getting tickets done and it will soon be time for the IPS (UK) office to close for the evening. Time for Barney's walk and some dinner. I doubt we will be doing much tonight. I think a visit to the DVD rental place might be in order, depends what Sky Movies has to offer I guess.
